This year marks the 20th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Inspired by Melvyn P. Leffler’s new book, "Confronting Saddam Hussein: George W. Bush and the Invasion of Iraq," a panel of national security experts will reflect on this highly consequential foreign policy decision. They will consider the leadership of Saddam Hussein and why officials were haunted by the Iraqi dictator's past record and potential behavior. They will also discuss U.S. presidential leadership during this critical time.
